Control cabinet construction & hardware integration
We manufacture and integrate your switchgear to meet the exact requirements of industrial applications.
Challenges in control cabinet construction and hardware integration
In control cabinet construction, it is not only the planning that determines the success of a project, but of course also the quality of implementation. This is precisely where most problems arise in practice.
Errors in the wiring, lack of capacity or difficulties with integration quickly lead to delays, additional costs or failures. At the same time, the requirements for standards, quality and documentation are constantly increasing.
Typical challenges are
- Lack of capacity in production and wiring
- High susceptibility to errors with manual implementation
- Different standards depending on the country of use
- Fluctuating quality due to lack of standardization
The basis: electrical design and planning
The basis of every functioning system is a clean electrical design. Without clear planning, errors occur even before implementation.
If you need support with planning or control cabinet design, you will find all the information you need here.

Why MEMBRAFLOW?
In switch cabinet construction, the biggest problems do not arise during production itself, but at the handover points between planning, wiring, integration and commissioning. We make sure that all the steps dovetail neatly, with clear interfaces, structured implementation and a central point of contact.
Less coordination effort. Fewer errors. Faster commissioning.
What this means for your project:
- Standard-compliant production with complete documentation
- Central point of contact from planning to commissioning
- Clean integration into existing plants and systems
- Plannable implementation thanks to clear handover points and defined processes
- Tried and tested in industry, special systems and the military
Customized switch cabinet construction for different areas of application
There is no standard solution in enclosure construction. Requirements differ significantly depending on the industry, environment and technical application. That is why each system is designed and implemented individually.
Different requirements depending on the area of application
- Typical areas of application:
- Machinery and plant engineering
- Food industry
- Chemicals and process industry
- Special machine construction
- Military and safety-critical applications
Housing and materials
- Sheet steel for economical standard applications
- Stainless steel for hygienically sensitive areas
- Plastic or aluminum for special requirements
Protection and operational safety
- Dust and dirt
- Moisture
- Temperature fluctuations
Hardware integration into existing systems
A control cabinet is only one part of the solution. It is crucial that all components are properly integrated and work together reliably during operation. We integrate your switchgear directly into existing systems and processes. In doing so, we ensure that all components are technically and functionally coordinated.
This includes, among other things:
- Cabling and connection on site
- Integration into existing machines and systems
- Integration of sensors and actuators
- Coordination of all interfaces
Pneumatics and supplementary systems in plant engineering
In addition to electrical components, we also integrate pneumatic systems and vacuum technology if required. Depending on the application Pneumatics represent a simple, robust and economical solution.
Pneumatic systems are used to control movements using compressed air. They are particularly suitable for applications where high precision is not required or where a cost-efficient solution is deliberately chosen.
Even in certain environments, for example with increased security requirements, the Pneumatics offer advantages over electric drives.
Overview of use and implementation:
- Control of movements via compressed air or vacuum technology
- Use for simple or cost-sensitive applications
- Integration of components, e.g. from FESTO, SMC or Bürkert
- Planning and implementation via EPLAN Fluid
- Combination with electrical systems depending on requirements

Standards, testing and safety
Relevant standards at a glance
- CE directives for the European market
- DIN EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment of machines
- IEC 61439 for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies
- UL 508A for use in the USA (industrial control cabinets)
- CSA for Canada (industrial control cabinets)
- ATEX directives for potentially explosive atmospheres
- IECEx as an international standard in explosion protection
After manufacturing, the system undergoes testing in accordance with DIN EN 60204 and VDE 0113. During this process, all functions are checked and documented to ensure that the system can be operated safely. We can also test and evaluate existing systems.
